There is a lift. There is always a queue. The view at the top is exactly the one you've seen a thousand times, and it's still one to see once: the terracotta roofs and the lagoon. The bells still ring, so wear earplugs if you go on the hour. Book the first slot at 9:30 a.m. and skip the worst of the line.
