What these technologies are
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. “Local storage” is a related browser feature that keeps small amounts of data on your device. We use both for the purposes below.
What we use
Strictly necessary
Membership & sign-in (Memberstack). When you create an account, sign in, or access member content, our membership provider sets cookies needed to keep you logged in and to protect the paywall. These are essential and are always on.
Functional
Your saved list. The “save to list” feature stores your selections in your browser’s local storage so your list persists between visits. This data stays on your device and is not used for tracking.
Analytics (optional — consent required)
Google Analytics. With your permission, Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga and _ga_*) to measure aggregate, de-identified usage — which pages are read, roughly where visitors come from. We load these only after you accept analytics in the cookie banner, and not at all if you decline.
Managing your choices
- Use the cookie banner to accept or decline analytics. You can change your mind any time by clearing this site’s cookies/storage, which brings the banner back.
- Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies, and clear local storage. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies may stop sign-in and member areas from working.
- You can opt out of Google Analytics across sites with Google’s browser opt-out.

Memberstack and Google are independent providers with their own privacy practices. We recommend reviewing their policies for details on how they handle data.
