Hala says
A 40-year husband-and-wife operation in Castello: Cesare Benelli in the kitchen, Diane (from Texas) running the room. Venetian seafood, no menu shortcuts.
Cesare buys every fish from the Rialto market himself, every morning. The result is a kitchen with no excuses: if the rombo isn't perfect, it doesn't go on the menu that night. The black ink-stained cuttlefish over polenta is the dish to order; the tiramisù has its own following. Diane will tell you exactly what to drink, in English. Closed Wednesday and Thursday.
