The Santa Caterina monastery, founded 1275, converted into an 18-suite hotel, with an underground spa threaded through a 1st-century AD Roman amphitheatre. The remains run back to the 2nd century BC, including a temple to the cult of water, and the thermal circuit runs among the Roman pillars.
