Hala says
Cagliari's big covered food market, two levels of about 4,000 m² each. The city's answer to Palermo's Capo: shouting, ice, bottarga in eight forms, sea urchins by the half-kilo (€10), and the pace of a real working market nobody has tidied up for tourists. The historic building has been closed for renovation since March 2025 and the traders have moved to a temporary market in Piazza Nazzari; go there, not to the old hall. Open until 2 p.m., Monday to Saturday. Don't eat breakfast first.
