A wood-clad hotel just off Cortina's pedestrian main street, run by Egnazia Ospitalità Italiana, the group behind Borgo Egnazia in Puglia.
"De Len" is Ladin for "wood," and the building is clad in it. The former Hotel Impero, locally crafted timber inside and out, every room with Swiss Optimal Living Society certification for sleep quality. Just off Corso Italia at Via Cesare Battisti 66, two minutes' walk to every shop and restaurant in central Cortina. The sixth-floor spa has a Finnish sauna, ice fountain, steam bath, and outdoor jacuzzi. Bar de Len downstairs serves barrel-aged cocktails in a speakeasy-lit room that's also one of the better evening crowds in the village. Run by the same Italian group as Borgo Egnazia in Puglia.
