Folegandros Chora at any hour

Not a sunset so much as the whole evening rhythm of the Chora, walked slowly through the three connected squares as the houses light up. No cars; one pedestrian street snaking from Plateia Piatsa to Plateia Maraki to Plateia Kontarini. Do it between 7 and 9 p.m.: the bougainvillea supplies the colour, the cats supply the company, dinner is booked for 9 or 9:30. It beats any view-bar sundown the island sells you a cocktail for.
