The headline hotel on Folegandros, a minimal contemporary design property standing above the ferry-port bay of Karavostasis rather than up in Chora. Six room types run from a 35-square-metre double up to a 70-metre suite sleeping six, and the two largest categories have private pools. Andelea, which the hotel counts as the first spa to open on the island, sits alongside the Anemi Restaurant, which serves all day, and the Yellow Bar. The grounds hold a vineyard that doubles as the yoga space, tennis and basketball courts, and a boutique. The small things are handled well: the transfer up from the boat is complimentary, breakfast can be taken early for the first ferry, housekeeping comes twice a day, and there is an EV charger, which is rarer out here than it sounds. Folegandros stays small on purpose, so book around three months ahead for August.
