A Monastiraki kebab house running since 1964, on Mitropoleos at the edge of the square. Kebab and souvlaki plates, the yogurt kebap, saganaki and tzatziki, open till two in the morning.

A Monastiraki kebab house running since 1964, on Mitropoleos where the street meets the square. The menu is kebap and souvlaki plates in pork, beef and chicken, a yogurt kebap, Greek salad, roasted peppers, saganaki and tzatziki. It is touristy and a bit cheesy and it does not care, which is roughly the point: the food is genuinely good, it costs very little, and the square outside has live music every night, so the room stays loud until late. Go for a silly, easy, very fun night rather than a serious dinner. Open daily from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m.
