Hala says

A two-table window on Plateia Agias Eirinis, family-run by Kostas Jr. since his grandfather opened it in 1946, and the most-argued-over souvlaki in central Athens. Charcoal-grilled pork on the spit, hand-cut pita, tomato, onion, tzatziki, a single dusting of paprika. €2 a stick. Closed weekends, and it sells out daily, often by 3 p.m.
