Hala says

A 3rd-century-BC Greek theatre carved into the cliff, Etna framed in the missing back wall, the Ionian below. Still a working venue (the Taormina Film Festival in July, classical concerts all summer). Visit at golden hour, an hour before sunset. Buy tickets online to skip the line; the on-site queue can run 45 minutes in season.
