The fish-sandwich counter on Piazza Aldo Moro that turned Polignano into a food destination. It has since opened elsewhere in Italy, but Polignano is where it started, in 2015.
The polpo panino (fried octopus, cime di rapa, anchovy oil, fig syrup, ricotta and pepper) is the one it built its name on. Still excellent. The red shrimp tartare with passion-fruit mayo is the second-best thing on the menu. Counter ordering is the default (listen for your number), but the line wraps the block at peak. Walk up before 12.30 or after 3, or reserve a table via TheFork or the website to guarantee a spot.
