The cove at the foot of Polignano's old town, framed by the Roman bridge above and the white cliff houses on either side. The water is cold and the pebbles hurt your feet. You will understand the queue within thirty seconds. Arrive before 9 a.m. or after 6 p.m. Mid-day is unbearable.
