Sprawling grounds, hidden courtyards that reveal themselves slowly, an Aveda spa, a pool set into an ancient orchard, and a private beach club. Rooms are rustic but not rough: vaulted ceilings, stone fireplaces, antiques worn beautifully by time. Several suites have private plunge pools or jasmine-draped terraces.
