The Pirelli Foundation's contemporary art space, in a former locomotive factory in northeast Milan. Anselm Kiefer's seven monumental towers (The Seven Heavenly Palaces) are installed permanently and justify the trip on their own. The rotating exhibitions are consistently good. Free entry. Twenty minutes by tram from Garibaldi.
