Camparino in Galleria
The Cut· research-verified, not yet visited
Opened by Davide Campari himself in 1915, in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II directly facing the Duomo. Listed in the World's 50 Best Bars extended ranking.
The ground floor (Bar di Passo) is a standing-room counter for tourists and quick drinks. The first floor (Sala Spiritello) is where you want to be: moody, reservation-only, with a sweeping view down into the Galleria itself. The mosaics on the lower-floor walls were designed by Angelo d'Andrea in the 1910s and look exactly that age. Order a Campari Seltz the way Davide Campari intended, or work through the cocktail program upstairs. Open daily. Reserve the upstairs table ahead; it's a separate experience, so plan it.
