Hala says

The birthplace of the Negroni Sbagliato, served in oversized Murano glasses since the seventies. Open since 1947, unchanged in any way that matters.

A neighborhood bar in Porta Venezia that became a global landmark by accident: the house trademarked the Negroni Sbagliato and the rest is cocktail history. The room is exactly as it was in the postwar era: red neon, old wood, oversized custom glasses, a 500-drink menu, no concessions to the present. Maurizio Stocchetto (Mirko's son, UC Berkeley-educated, fluent English) still runs the bar. Packed out for Salone del Mobile every April. Get a Sbagliato in the big glass, sit outside if you can, order a second one.
