The Ferragamo family's Lungarno Collection includes four hotels in Florence, Portrait among them. Thirty-seven rooms and suites on the Lungarno Acciaiuoli, most river-facing, many with a balcony onto the Arno or the Ponte Vecchio itself. Interiors by Michele Bönan: tailored, residential, leather-trimmed, drawing on Florence's craftsmanship tradition and the birth of Italian haute couture in the 1950s. Caffè dell'Oro is on the ground floor; the same group's Borgo San Jacopo (one Michelin star) is across the bridge.
